We did! Our 65th Summer of operation is officially in the books. There is something bittersweet about watching our youth return to school and the leaves start to change as cooler breezes come in off the coast, but we're always excited to see new and exciting things happening at camp.
The latest news at camp was our big 65th anniversary celebration at the beginning of this month. We had about 40 alumni come out to celebrate with is for a special dinner. We got to see alumni from the 50s and 60s all the way up to our current campers. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and everyone who has made these last 65 summers so special. Unfortunately, we were having so much fun, we forgot to take any pictures to share.
We've also been taking orders for our special 65th Anniversary Sweatshirt. A royal blue zip up hoodie (you asked for it, you got it) with the above logo on the back. They are $45 (which includes shipping). To order, email contact@campbethel.net with your size and contact information (including shipping address) and pay through our paypal. This will be an extremely limited run and you have to preorder by the end of this month to get one.
Also coming up this month is one of our favorite events; SENIOR ADULT CAMP! Starting Monday September 12 and going through Thursday afternoon, we'll get to hang out with some of our most important campers. If you want to come but haven't registered, send us an email and we'll get you a spot. There's plenty of room and fun to go around. Check out the Camps page for more information. Included activities will be crafts, devotions, and an adventure out to Quinalt. So don't miss out. Can't wait to see everyone.
The family fishing weekend is also this month (September 30 to October 2). Whether you consider yourself a fisher folk or are looking for some time to rest by a fire and snicker at everyone's fishing costumes, we have what you're looking for. You can fish the lake or the mighty Humptulips River or use camp as a base for other adventures. Cost is $85/person and we can't wait to see you.
